This is Code2Design's (and my) first MOD for the PunBB forum system [1].

The project started when I saw Riklaunim's Benchmarks [2] for different forum, blog, and CMS systems. punBB was the fastest/stable forum system, followed by phpBB 2.x (Yay!), then SMF and IPB 2.

Wow, I have a friend running PunBB [3] but I had no idea it was such a good system! So, I downloaded a copy and installed it in 5 seconds on my home PC. Cool... but the most important features I think are code highlighting, PM's, and topic reviews. Since I have my own life - lol - I decided to skip coding a PM system for a forum I had never used (that and they already had a mod for it!) and went for a code highlighter.

So that is how this MOD came to be. 1) It works fine on my PC, 2) doesn’t open up a bunch of holes for bugs (outside of the geshi systems own bugs), 3) supports most common languages, and 4) is SIMPLE to install.
